Jerome Kardynalski Obituary

Jerome Kardynalski

Jerome Kardynalski, 61, of Bloomington and Stinesville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2015, after a long illness.

Jerry was born in Aurora, Illinois to Theodore and Virginia (Skwarczynski) Kardynalski. He graduated from Montini High School in Lombard, Illinois, and attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. He resided in Illinois (Downers Grove, Westmont and Naperville) and Seymour, Missouri, before coming back to Bloomington, which he called home.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Patricia (Kathy) Kardynalski; his sisters and brothers, Joanne (Steve) Coutchie of Seymour, MO; Ted (Ingrid) Kardynalski of Huntley, IL; Duane (Donna) Kardynalski of Westmont, IL; Karen (Jenkins) Kardynalski of Carlsbad, CA; Tad Kardynalski of Pineville, MO and other extended family.

Jerry was a talented carpenter and builder, a musician, an artist, a storyteller, a collector, a philosopher. He loved being in nature, working with his hands, either building or planting. He enjoyed sharing time with his friends and family and holding long conversations about anything and everything especially politics, sports or finances. He found beauty and art everywhere and collected whatever caught his eye.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life for Jerry, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2015, at the Knights of Columbus hall, 25 N. Cass, Westmont, IL.

Was thinking of Jerry thought I would try to find some current contact info when I saw his obit. We lost contact many years back. I know I am very late with this but I need to express my condolences to all.

I'm so sorry that Jerry has left us way too soon. Jerry was a sweet and great guy at Montini. I'm sure he will be missed. I was happy to see him at some of our reunions and catch up with him and glad life had been good to him. So sorry for your loss.

Jerry, you were my first crush in grade school. Your smile, sense of humor and your beautiful eyes drew me to want to know you better. I feel privileged to have known you, to be a part of your history here on earth and to know that you are resting in the strong arms of our Lord. May your family be comforted by the wonderful memories and the knowledge that they too will join you someday.
