"Jerry" Dunne, age 82, longtime resident of Elmhurst, Navy Veteran of WWII with 20 years active service retiring as a Senior Chief Radioman; Naval Reserve Veteran with 10 years service; member of American Legion Post, #187; beloved husband of Ann T., nee Flaherty; loving father of Denise (Jim) Nicolosi, Mark (Marcia), Gregory (Kae), Rory (Sue), John (Julie) and Jean (Thomas) Stachura; proud grandfather of Connie (Mike) Mininni, Lori (Pat) Simon, Matthew and Catie, Emi, Jyoji, Aire and Arisa, Shannon, Erin and Melaney, Sean, Trevor and Justin Dunne and Zachary and Jacqueline Stachura; cherished great-grandfather of Jillian and Christopher Mininni and Isabella, Nicolas and Bianca Simon; dear brother of Pat Giovanazzi; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. until time of funeral 9:00 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 a.m. at Visitation Catholic Church. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Visitation Catholic Church Capital Campaign, 779 S. York Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126.
