Jean Sieracki-Cassidy Obituary

It's been 30 years since our high school days at St. Eds and many years since I have seen Jeanie, but she was a friend to all. She was fun, sweet, goofy and loved life! My condolences to her husband, family, and children. Rest in peace, Jeanie.

Jean's zest for life and positive attitude were contagious and it was a privilege to have known her. I am thankful for fond memories from St. Ed's and ISU. Many prayers to her family and friends.

Jean was a dear college friend one of the many of Hewitt 12. I'll remember her as a person who loved life. One of my foundest memories in college is when we moved to the apt complex as Jrs. We were all listening to the sound track The Big Chill. We were all dancing and singing and then Jean in her impulsive ways got out the aluminum foil out and pulled it out around the apartment. I will miss her free spirit. Rest in peace friend. I love you and will miss you.

I can see Jean's smile and hear her laugh over thirty years since we attended St Edward's High School together. Such a loss. Many prayers to her husband, children, and friends.

Jean, Best friend of my wife Jenny. They went through high school together,room mates at I.S.U., started teaching together,as well as being in each others weddings. Now just a short 35 years later ,living 2 miles away we have shared many good times. Jean was more than a friend, she was a part of our family,attending birthdays, graduations,bridal showers,weddings and holiday celebrations. We also shared a few trips to a lake cabin with Jean and Bob. Some of the best times were so simple, Jean coming over on weekends for coffee and lively conversation...many times she would be back that same evening for dinner and a movie with us in the family room. Another of her favorite sayings was " keep it real ".......Jean, our friendship and memories of you are as REAL as it gets . We miss you .

Jean was an amazing and dynamic woman. She effervesced a true joie de vivre which was both contagious and disarming. She lit up a room with her presence and was a true heroine. Right up to the end she carried herself as if nothing was wrong with her -- astounding everyone with her courage, positive outlook, and uncanny stamina. The brightest stars in her life were our children, Maddie and Ben, and her prescience and insight to her children's needs and wants were divinely inspired. How wonderful that now her omnipresence will allow her to protect her children with her guidance and love forever. I wish you well on your journey, Jean. Jean, best friend to my wife, Jenny. They go back to high school,college room mates, beginning as teachers and being in each others weddings.Now ,just a short 35 years later Jean lived 2 miles away and we have shared so many special times .Jean was more than a friend , she was part of our family.Jean was at every family event:bridal showers,weddings,graduation parties to name a few. We also enjoyed having Jean and Bob at a lake home and sharing many stories and fun times.The best times were often so simple....Jean coming over on a weekend for coffee, breakfast, and lively conversation .Often that same evening we would invite Jean back for dinner and a movie in our home. Another of her favorite sayings was "Keep it real ". Jean , our friendship and memories of you are as REAL as it gets . We miss you.

My deepest sympathies to the Sieracki, Bonkoske and Cassidy families. Jean and I grew up together and shared so many moments together--weeks in Hayward at the cabin, canoe rides in Wildwood Valley, giggly girl sleepovers and so much more. I am broken-hearted for us all. We have lost a wonderful part of our lives but I'd like to think we also gained a guardian angel. You will always be a part of me, Jean. Miss you so much.

Jean was one of the most upbeat dynamic human beings I have ever met. Her indominable spirit, and winning smile throughout her battle with cancer was an inspiration to all who met her. She will be sorely missed by our family, and all who knew her.

I had Mrs. Bonkoske as my 5th grade teacher at The Lane in Hinsdale. She was a wonderful teacher. I'll remember her for the rest of my life. My sympathy to her son Ben and daughter, Maddie. I'm so sorry for your loss. Your mom was an amazing lady.

Jean was the most caring person. She would always say she wanted to "connect with you", to find out what was going on in your life. She encouraged meaningful conversations. She spoke often about her love for her children and her family.

My cherished memories with Jean take place in Fish Creek, WI, during our early morning walks through Peninsula State Park. We had many wonderful conversation! She was a super fantabulous person!!! She was a beautiful person - inside and out!!!
