Janet Bingle Obituary

Janet Bingle, age 94, born March 5, 1917, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2011; beloved wife of 68 years to Edmund Bingle; loving mother of Nancy Dunham and Sally (Richard) Vein; cherished grandmother of David (Judy) Stiefel, Sherri Stiefel Cedar, Joseph Dunham, Melodie Vein (Michael) McGarr, Stacey Vein and Michael (Kate) Vein; 11 great- grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. A wonderful homemaker, Janet was also a Registered Nurse, an accomplished seamstress and a lifelong Girl Scout. At the time of her death, Janet was the oldest living Girl Scout in the State of Illinois. Janet was a member of the Hinsdale Embroidery Guild, L.A.C.E (Lace Guild) and a founding member of Faithful Circle Quilters of Downers Grove, Faithful Circle honors one outstanding member each year with the "Janet Bingle Award". Janet also was a teacher of quilting and had a passion for life and caring for others. A private family ceremony to celebrate her life was held Monday, June 13, 2011, followed by the interment at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery. The family requests, Memorials in Janet's honor to be given to the American Cancer Society, Girl Scouts of America or a charity of your choice.
