James Little Obituary

James Earl Little

James "Bubba" Little passed away on July 12, 2018 at the age of 61, doing what he loved best -Diving in the Gulf!

Raised in Oswego, Illinois, Jim is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Linda (nee Harris) Little; his children, Nicholas (Samantha) Little, Hannah Little and Garret Little; and his two grandchildren, Kayden Little and Phoebe Little. His siblings, Juliana Blusiewicz and children, Anthony (Jenna) Blusiewicz and Victoria Blusiewicz, Jennifer DeMarco and children, Jessica (Micah) Desjardins, James DeMarco and Elijah Lowry, Jayne (Todd) Colvin and children, Andrew Ansani, Robert (Priscila) Ansani, Zachary and Dane Colvin, ex-wife, Beth Trnka; and several cousins, great nieces and nephews.

Jim is predeceased by his Father, James R Little; Mother, Betty Norma Little; Grandparents, Earl and Beatrice Little, Angelo and Carmela Martino; and Brother In-law, John DeMarco.

Jim, who attended the University of Arizona on a football scholarship, was also a stand out two-sport (football and basketball) athlete at Oswego High School. He was also an avid outdoorsman and hunter. Jim loved Arizona so much that he made it his and eventually he and Linda's home for many years prior to moving to Florida in 2007. During his work career, Jim managed multiple construction and roofing companies.

Jim always had a can-do attitude and infectious love for life, his family and friends. His passion for the ocean and diving for shark teeth, inspired he and Linda to move to the sea. Jim and Linda loved to welcome family at their Venice home as he was a consummate host and made sure others were always comfortable. Jim, who was called to the Lord early, will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

A Celebration of Jim's Life will be held at 10:00 a.m Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Farley Funeral Home, 265 S. Nokomis Ave. Venice, Florida 34285.
