James L. Keen

James L. Keen, 85, of Riverside at rest on July 30, 2016 at his home, loving husband of Irma nee Krier; devoted father of Mary (Chuck) Kirchoff, James E. (Connie), Richard (Diane), John (Kathy), Tom, Dan (Christine), Carolyn (Stephen) Gedney, Ken (Fiona), Janice, Joyce, Doug (Julie) and Bill Keen; dearest grandpa of 35; dear great grandpa of 4; fond brother of Sharon (Dean) Beedle, Brian (Brenda) Keen and the late Robert, late David Keen; uncle and friend to many.

Graduate of University of South Dakota, member of Phi Beta Kappa. Jim was a research chemist at Corn Products, Argo, and IL and formerly at General Mills, Minneapolis; he holds many patents in Research Chemistry. A Veteran of the U.S. Army. Jim was a former coach/manager of Riverside Little League and a school board member at St. Mary School and Riverside Brookfield High School.

Visitation on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Ivins/Moravecek Funeral Home 80 E. Burlington St. Riverside, with a Funeral Mass on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 126 Herrick Road Riverside.

In lieu of flowers donations to Catholic League for Religious and Civil Right at www.catholicleague.org.
