Irene Kovach, 88, a long-time resident of the Wilderness Country Club, Naples, Florida passed away on November 14, 2014.
Irene was born on March 3, 1926, in Kamenec, Slovakia to Mike and Mary Hudec. After moving to Windsor, Ontario Canada, Irene met and married the love of the life, William J. Kovach on May 3, 1952, in Windsor. The two of them spent many wonderful years in Glen Ellyn, Illinois where they raised their 5 children, as well as Naples, Florida where they enjoyed golf, playing bridge and dancing.
Irene was a beautiful and kind person; she had a "heart of gold" and always had a smile on her face. She lived her life for her family, placing her children as the highest priority in her life.
Irene will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grand mother.
Irene is survived by her two daughters, Christine Alexander and her husband, Don, Nancy Sheldon and her husband, Ron; her sons, Rick, Mike (Linda) and Bill (Carol); as well as her brother Mike Hudec and his wife, Sandy. Her legacy will be carried on by her 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
The family extends a heart filled thank-you to Niccole Sherman, who provided extraordinary loving care of our mother. We will miss you Reeny!
A family only mass and memorial will be held in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
