Harry ok'd my purchase of my first (used) car in 1979, at his station. I was 18. He was such a nice man, I made it a point to buy my gas from him just to say hello. He always greeted me with a "Hi, Lori', with his cigar in his mouth! I became a bartender in the area, and he would stop by sometimes, along with Buddy and other employees. He was just so nice, and his visits meant alot. Everyone in the area knew him, respected him, and really liked him. I ran into Harry at the park district a few times, later on. We enjoyed our visits. What a wonderful person. My condolences to his loved ones, who I'm sure are many.

Harry was a true friend and a great guy. Sure did drink a lot of his coffee at the station.
