As I have said before and truly believe, Hap was a great person, friend, and classmate. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was often the life of the party. Hap was also an excellent athlete in football and lacrosse. I still cannot believe that he has passed. I will never forget Hap and all the good times we shared in the classroom, on the athletic field, and in general. God bless you Hap.

Once again, I am reminded that our dear friend Hap left us far too soon. I will never forget Hap and the fun and good times we had while at Trinity-Pawling and afterwards. He was a remarkable person whom we all miss. He was toasted at our T-P Reunions in 2010 and 2015 and will be toasted again when we gather in 2020. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family on this anniversary of his passing. God Bless You.

To all of Hap's family, rest assured he will be remembered in a very happy light. After reading his touching Eulogy, which was e-mailed to me by R-Matt, it seems like Hap had the same effect on his co-workers that he had on the rest of us. I remember Hap from our day's at T.P. To all my brethren on the 1975 T.P. Lacrosse team, we will miss our main-man on the crease and Teddy on the right flank. This is Boggs' worst nightmare. I can see Hap and Teddy beating the crap out of Robin during practice for the up-coming Heavenly Games. After all, what close-D doesn't enjoy putting the lumber to an attackman? They did it with the best of them, especially in the spring of 1975. Brothers forever!

I wanted to take this opportunity to extend my deepest sympathies to Hap's immediate family and his extended family at T-P. Though I was not as close to Hap as some of our classmates he still touched my life and I never forgot him as the class of 75 was small and tight!

As my brothers from T-P have stated – we will keep him in our thoughts and prayers. Be assured that I will join Mike, Scott and others at our reunion in 2010 and that toast to Hap!

To the McCormick Family: I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Please accept my heartfelt sympathies. I remember "Hap" as such a terrific friend and athlete with endless energy at Trinity-Pawling. He always had so many buddies around him every day. I feel very fortunate to have known him and to have been his classmate.

I was saddened to here of Hap's passing. I have known him since the days of high school at Trinity Pawling. Although it's been several years since we have seen each other, when we did , we would just pick up where we left off with jokes and laughs and of course a couple beers. He always had a special greeting for me. He would ask, "How's my little buddy?" That was because Hap was at least a foot taller than me. He would pick me up with his bear hug and then put me down gently.
My condolences go out to his family. His spirit will live on in all of us.

Hap was the definition of his nickname, "Happy". It was through his father, last night, that I heard him recounting his memories of Hap as a child and telling the story of how he got his name. During a visit to his grandparents house, about one years old, he was sitting on the sofa in their living room. In their living room was a large grandfather clock. Each time the pendulam would swing, he would smile, giggle and laugh and became enchanted with the whole movement of it. His grandfather then began to lovingly address him as "Happy" and that shortened over time to "Hap", as he was known and loved by.
He will always be remembered and thought of fondly. Our deepest sympathies to his wife Robin, their children, family and friends.

Always Love You Hap!

I extend my deepest sympathies to Hap's family and all of us who were his friend. Hap was a solid life long friend since our days together in high school at T-P. While we didn't often get much opportunity to spend time together over the years, when we did it was alawys an instant return to our youth with all of the attendant excitement and joy. Hap simply brought out the good and happy spirit in me and I feel blessed to have been his friend for three and half decades.

I think I can speak for the Class of 1975 from Trinity-Pawling School in saying that Hap will be sorely missed. He was a fun person to be around. Hap always had a joke to tell or a funny story to relate. Through the years he was a good friend and someone you could count on in a pinch. Hap loved life and loved his friends. Even though he was taken from us far too soon, we all know that Hap lived a full life and made the most of every day. We will miss him at our reunions, but we will always make a point of toasting him as I am sure he will be with us in spirit. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
