Greg Bush, age 43, of Bourbonnais, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at his home.

He was born February 9, 1972, in Elmhurst, the son of Gordon & Geri Yeager Bush. Greg married Allison Syrcle August 9, 1997. Greg grew up in Elmhurst where he graduated from York High School. After high school he attended Butler University in Indianapolis, IN, where he graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. Greg worked for Armstrong World Industries for nine years, spending seven of those years in Kankakee as the controller/financial manager of the Kankakee flooring plant.

Prior to working at Armstrong, Greg worked for 13 years at Thompson Consumers Electronics in various finance roles across the country including two years at the company's international headquarters in Paris, France.

He served numerous organizations over the years including his church, United Way, committees through the school district and Cub Scouts. He was involved in Relay for Life, speaking at the Kankakee County Relay for Life survivor lunch on behalf of Armstrong for two years. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed fantasy sports. He also enjoyed running and participation in various races in the area.

Surviving are his wife, Allison Bush of Bourbonnais; four children, Adam, Abigail, Paige, and Andrew, all at home; his father, Gordon Bush of Bourbonnais; one brother, Pete Bush & Sarah Palmer of Chicago; one sister, Ginny Bush & Mike Campise of Villa Park; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Susan & Reggie Syrcle of Valparaiso, IN; two aunts, Peggy & Ralph O'Connell of Elmhurst and Carol McCollum of Austin, TX; and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother; and two uncles, Hap McCollum and Robert Ruth.

Cremation Rites will be accorded. A memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2015, until the 12 Noon memorial service at Grace Community United Methodist Church in Bourbonnais. Pastor Mary Brady will officiate the service. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
