Gladys M. Bangert Born: Oct. 28, 1929; Vancouver, BC Died: Jan. 9, 2014; Pleasant Prairie, WI Gladys M. Bangert, age 84, of Waterford, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014, at Hospice Alliance in Pleasant Prairie. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia on October 28, 1929, she was the daughter of Cyril and Audrey (nee Coleman) Jones. She lived in Vancouver until the age of 10 when her family moved to England. On April 7, 1951, in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada she was united in marriage to Ronald Bangert. Following marriage, they lived in Chicago and Berwyn, before moving to Wisconsin where she has resided for the past 23 years. Ronald preceded her in death on February 16, 2012. Gladys was a member of Congregational Church in Rochester where she was active doing volunteer work. She visited shut-ins, enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting and spending time with her family. She loved pets, especially cats. She is survived by her children, Ronald (Marylyn) Bangert, Jr. and Audrey (John) Schanning; granddaughter, Sheri (Fiance, Roman Graebel) Schanning; great grandson, Cain Aulich and a sister-in-law, Betty Bangert. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and brother, Harold Jones. Memorials are suggested to Lakeland Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 1000, Elkhorn, WI 53121. The family would like to thank the staff at Burlington Hospital ICU, Aurora Nursing Association and all their staff, and Hospice Alliance for their care and compassion. Ron,Audrey & family I extend my deepest sympathy to you. Was sad to here about the recent loss of your mom.It seems like yesterday when we were all sitting at the kitchen table talking and going out for dinner.Time sure does change things.
