Gerald Sokol Obituary

Gerald C. Sokol, 71, longtime resident of Brookfield, died Aug. 28th. He was born in Chicago, son of Erwin and Bernie (Heider). He is survived by three children, daughter, Nancy (Larry) Lisowski and sons, John Sokol and Karl (Ann) Sokol. He is preceded in death by one sone, Rex. He had 5 grandchildren, Sarah and Nick Lisowski, Adrian Sokol, and Athanasius and Isaiah Sokol. Gerald worked at ABC News for 39 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed watching the wildlife in his backyard, reading, and collecting model trains. he spent his final week with his children and grandchildren including a trip to visit Thomas the Tank Engine, lunch at Mars Cheese Castle, a tour of the Jelly Belly warehouse and more.
