Georgia Hamil Obituary

Georgia E. Hamil, nee Martin, 99 and 11 months, of Lyons, formerly of Chicago and Ohau, HI, 1933 passed away on January 27, 2010 after a short illness. Loving wife of the late Mr. August Camacho and the late Mr. Howard Hamil; dearest mother of the late Dolores Galik (Robert Sr. Reid); cherished grandmother of Edith (Robert) Witt, Bette (Ken) Krebel, Steven Galik (Melanie), Frank (Tammy) Galik and Robert Reid Jr.; great-grandmother of seven; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by 16 siblings. A memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, 9:30 a.m. at St. Hugh Catholic Church, 4315 S. Joliet Ave., Lyons, IL 60534. Private Inurnment Service Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Stickney IL. Member of the Fraternal Order of Police, published by the Poets Society, played organ for St. Agnes Catholic Church, Chicago, was on the beautification board Lyons and served as an election judge for many years. Retired with many years of service to the Cook County Sheriff's Dept. from the Daley Center. Arrangements Tower Home for Funerals, Lyons, IL. For information : 708-447-7900.
