Jack, John and family... my heart goes out to you during this time. I'm so blessed to have gotten the chance to know Fran these last few years. She took care of me when I first met her in Rancho Mirage, trying to find my way in the world. She has been an inspiration in my life. I will never forget my dear friend Fran and the memories we had together. She was truly an amazing woman that changed the life of many. She'll always be in my heart, and we'll always have the memories of the desert.

Fran was a like a mother, a sister and a best friend to me - all rolled up into one very special person.
We laughed, we cried, we shared our deepest thoughts and feelings and memories. She was a tower of strength and wisdom and I knew I could always count on her for her honesty and compassion. I watched her live through her life with cancer and will always carry with me her courage and acceptance. She never complained, she never whined, she never lived in what if's - she accepted her illness and walked through it with dignity. I know her greatest fear was not of dying but of leaving her family that she loved so much. She would talk of her husband and children and grand children and her sisters and her sadness of leaving them behind.
I miss her - her friendship, her compassion, her always being there for me, never judgemental and always supportive. And I will miss her sense of humor and all the laughter we shared.
My condolences to all the family and I know from all she shared with me how much she loved each and everyone of you.

Aunt Fran, you will never be forgotten and I will always be saddened that we didn't spend more time together.

I remember my wedding shower -- you bought me a nice, heavy pan with a lid and told me that every new bride needs a good pan to cook in. I laughed because at the time most of my cooking involved a take-out menu. Well, nine years later, I use that pan almost every day. Every time I take it out of the cabinet I remind Chris that Aunt Fran bought it for us. Thanks for believing that I would eventually learn how to cook!

I will be forever grateful to Fran for all her love and support.
How lucky I am to have had a mother-in-law so generous
and kind.

I once heard a mother-in-law joke that reminds me of my
relationship with Fran; When I met my mother-in-law she
was a total stranger. In the years that followed we grew so
close that the only thing missing in our relationship was the
birth certificate. I may have only been a son-in-law but Fran
always made me feel like one of her own.

Our relationship started off a little rocky but as I came to know
Fran better it quickly became clear that she was a truly remarkable woman.

I’m thankful for the 27 years I had Fran in my life, for every
act of kindness she bestowed upon me and for every
happy memory she left me with.

She will be loved and remembered every day.

Greetings... I knew Fran via my friend Laura, her daughter. Our group of women-friends (I'd dare say sisters of a sort that your soul cheers for...) calls ourselves "The Muffinaires" for giggles. We always referred to Fran as an Honorary Muff, and looked joyfully forward to her visits to Seattle and when we could share time with her. I remember her quick wit and supportive insights. I remember the way she'd look at you directly in the eye and you knew she was 100% locked on you... really taking YOU in... In a more silly moment - I remember when she brought us all cutie under-fashion-garments (shall we say?) for Christmas. It still makes me laugh out loud! Most important - the legacy of leadership, hospitality, joy, support and love that she has left with her family and beautiful granddaughters. I am comforted by the idea that she is watching over all of us… cranking violets.

Our condolences to you and your family. We were so sorry to hear of your loss.

When I think of Fran I think of her spontaneity and creativity. At a very busy time in my life. The day of my wedding. I was not happy with my choice for headpiece/veil. Fran took one look at it and gave me two white sequined shoulder appliques and attached them to my veil. When I look at my wedding pictures that always reminds me of her. How her quick thinking saved my day.

I will always remember her kindness and the help she gave me that day.

Fran had a way of doing that and our heartfelt condolences to you Jack and your family.

Mr. McInerney, Laura, Eileen, John and the entire extended family~~I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one~~My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. I hope you enjoy this poem and it helps bring a little bit of joy at this sorrowful time:

Annette Walters and Family

Those we love remain with us, for love itself lives on,
Cherished memories never fade because a loved one's gone.

Those we love can never be more than a thought apart,
for as long as there is memory, they'll live on in our heart.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be
so he put his arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me".

With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away,
although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay.

A Golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.
