Evelyn Cuda Obituary

Evelyn lived with us when she first came here from Ireland. I had two older brothers, so Evelyn was like a sister to me. She was smart and gentle and we went to a lot of movies together. When I was stationed in the Army over in Germany in 1960, thoughtful Evelyn brought my mother to an army location to make a 45 recording, and mailed it to me. I was thrilled to be in her wedding party.

She came to Boston around 1980 to visit me and my mother. I took her fishing one day and she was thrilled to catch her first fish. Around 1900, I flew to Chicago and drove us to visit our Aunt Della and some of our cousins in Davenport, IA. The last time I saw her was when she came to visit us in FL. I have cherished memories of Evelyn.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss.
I enjoyed seeing her at meetings and Mom and I had a wonderful time with her at NCRA in Miami. Of course we remember the good old days at OLL (Lourdes) when you lived across the alley.

Evelyn was a true friend and colleague who was always there for me with her supportive words and kind gestures. I am dearly going to miss her quick wit and gentle presense. My consolences are with all of her loving family.

I was sorry to learn of the death of my first cousin Evelyn. She was such a gentle person and I am very sorry that she had to suffer through a lingering illness.
