Evalyn Weinstein Obituary

Evalyn Weinstein of Northbrook, Ill., formerly of Glencoe, died Wednesday, November 18, 1998, at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview.

She was a life member and Past President of Pioneer Women, a three-generation member of Hadassah, and active in many philanthropic organizations, especially those which supported children's activities, like the fund she established at North Suburban Synagogue Beth El in Highland Park. The Scholarship Fund has sent countless children, who would otherwise be unable to attend, to Camp Ramah.

She was the wife of Theodore Weinstein, who was the Executive Vice President of Weinstein Brothers Memorial Chapels until his death in 1987.

She is survived by three daughters, Sharon (Barry) Briskman, Gail (Norman) Cutler, and Linda (Dr. Jay) Gorsky; eight grandchildren, Julie, David, Cara, Brett, Susan, Rebecca, Rachel, and Scott; one great-grandchild, Ethan Jack; and a sister, Rosalie (Tom) Wilson.
