Elizabeth "Betsy" Ann Stiles
Elizabeth "Betsy" Ann Stiles, aged 72, formerly of LaGrange and Evergreen Park, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving afternoon, November 24, 2022, at Artis of Lakeview in Chicago. Everything Betsy did - from flower arrangements, to food platters, and especially her laugh - was larger than life. She did her best to live a life of service - to be a joy to the joyful and to bring laughter to the grieving. Betsy is survived by three children, Mark, Jeff (Maria), and Colleen (Joe Begale) Stiles-Shields. Very proud grandmother of Eleanor and Grace – who are every bit as sassy as their Gram. Loving sister of Bobbie (Peter Minnwegan) Stiles and Patty (Jim Burns) Stiles; aunt of Maureen, Katie, and Jimmy Burns. Former spouse and dear friend of Lloyd Shields. Also survived by the much-adored Simmons cousins and many dear friends. Preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Connelly Stiles, the family matriarch -- a single mother who raised three feminists before it was cool. Celebration of Life Sunday December 4, 2-5pm (3pm service) at Artifact Events, 4325 N. Ravenswood, Chicago, IL 60613.
