Elizabeth "Betty" M. Smuda, nee Wulkowicz, of La Grange Park, age 90. Beloved wife of the late Joseph S. Smuda. Devoted mother of Barbara (James) Weber, Susan (Todd) Hitzeman, Richard (JoLynn) Smuda and Marie (the late Scott Richardson) Smuda; loving grandmother of Richard (Laura) Weber, Charles (Danielle) Hitzeman, Kathleen (Nicholas) Delzotti, Kristine (Matthew) Humphrey, Laura (Nicholas) Tomeczko, Jennifer Weber, Emily Smuda and Nicole Smuda; dear great-grandmother of Kylie Weber, Katarina Weber, Rachel Hitzeman, Drake Weber, Nathan Humphrey, Michael Humphrey, Nicholas Tomeczko, Joseph Hitzeman, Natalie Tomeczko, Colin Humphrey, Noah Weber, Tyler Tomeczko, and Abigail Delzotti; sister of Sr. Mary Stanislaus, the late Matthew (the late Anne) Wulkowicz, Genevieve Grabowski, Edward Wulkowicz and Stanley (the late Ann) Wulkowicz; aunt and great aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Sunday, August 30, 2015, 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Monday, August 31, 2015, 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 W. 31st Street, Brookfield. Funeral Monday, 9:30 a.m. to St. Louise de Marillac Church, La Grange Park. Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.

Dear Barbara,
I saw your mom's obituary in the Landmark to write to extend my condolences. I remember her from so many years ago as an elegant lady, and I am saddened at her passing. Hope you are well, and happy.
