Elizabeth Moore Obituary

Elizabeth Anne Louise Davies MOORE Elizabeth Moore, an accomplished musician and poet, died November 29, 2002, in Edmonds, Washington. She was 94. She was born to Hannah (Jensen) and Thomas Davies July 25, 1908, on a Kellogg Marsh farm, northeast of Marysville, Washington. She graduated from Everett High School and attended Linfield College in Oregon, graduating in 1931 with a French major and music minor. In 1932 she married Lawrence Moore and lived in Portland, Oregon. When the marriage ended, she moved to Seattle where she worked for the Electrolux Company, the University of Washington, and Safeco Insurance. A talented pianist and harpist, who also loved language and literature, Mrs. Moore treasured her Christian faith, her family and friends, a good joke and her Welsh/Danish heritage. She is survived by her son David (Margie) Moore of Issaquah, and daughter Carol (Dick) Greenwood of Shoreline; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Her three sisters and a great-granddaughter predeceased her. Viewing will be at 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, December 6th at Beck's Funeral Home, 405 5th Ave. South, Edmonds. Graveside Service are at 12 Noon Saturday, December 7th at the Marysville Cemetery. A Memorial Service follows at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 7th at Beck's Funeral Home in Edmonds. Memorials suggested to the American Diabetes Association or the National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
