Eleanor Michalek Obituary
Eleanor M. "Candy" Michalek, age 63, a longtime resident of LaGrange, passed away on September 10, 2016.
Loving companion of 35 years to Mark Azzi; beloved daughter of the late Edwin and the late Eleanor (nee Snyder) Michalek; devoted sister of Dennis (Elaine) Michalek, Christianne Daly, Renee (the late Oak) Page, the late Lawrence (the late Bernice) Michalek; loving sister-in-law to Michael (Mary Ellen) Azzi and Raymond (Kathy) Azzi; fond daughter-in-law of Henry and the late Irene (nee Wessley) Azzi; loved aunt of Dennis (Kari) Michalek, Diane (Jerry) Mangano, Lisa Marshall, Jennifer Michalek, Courtney (Adam) San Miguel, Nicole (Steve) Brandstedt, the late Michael Michalek, Daniel Michalek, Alicia Michalek and Andrew Michalek, Joseph Azzi and Leo Azzi; also survived by her many loved great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation Wednesday, September 14, from 3:00 until 9:00pm at Hallowell & James Funeral Home 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Funeral Thursday, September 15, prayers will begin at 9:15am from the funeral home and proceed to St. Francis Xavier Church in LaGrange for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Entombment Christ the King Garden Mausoleum at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
If desired, memorials may be given to the Esophageal Cancer Awareness Association. Service
