Eileen McMahon Obituary

Eileen M. McMahon, of Chicago, formerly Riverside, born to eternal life January 25, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. Fond daughter of Mary (nee Kearin) and the late Francis; loving sister of Phil (Catherine), Mary Jo (Dan) Schaeflein, Mike (Mary Beth), Kathy (Joe) Marek, Patti (Greg) Andrews, Bob (Bernadette), Maureen (Jim) Kenneally, John (Sue), Geri (Ed) McMahon, and Teri (Dave) Jacobs; favorite niece of Eleanor Carroll and Peggy Carey; adored aunt of 28 nieces and nephews, great-aunt of 3 and cousin of many. Eileen enjoyed many wonderful vacations due to a successful business career. Eileen enjoyed the finer things in life while spending time with family and friends, especially at her home in Long Beach, IN. Visitation is Friday, January 28, 2011, 2-8 p.m. at Adolf Funeral & Cremation Services, Ltd. 7000 S. Madison Street, Willowbrook and Saturday 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Ivins/Moravecek Funeral Home 80 E. Burlington St., Riverside, with a Funeral Mass 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 126 Herrick Rd., Riverside. Interment Queen of Heaven. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Midwest Heart Foundation c/o The Eileen McMahon Young Hearts for Life Memorial Fund, 1901 S. Meyers Road, Suite 350, Oakbrook Terrace, Il. 60181or www.midwestheart.org

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Eileen. I know how difficult this must be for the family. I am so happy I was part of the cancer run and being on the McMahon team showing support and just seeing Eileen and the family I want to thank them for including me. That was a GREAT day. My deepest sympathy are with the family and may the love of those around you help you through the days ahead. My prayers and thoughts are with the family.
