Died: July 26, 2014; in Black River Falls, WI

Edward William Schaper, age 80, of Black River Falls, Wisconsin formerly of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, died Saturday, July 26, 2014 at his home while surrounded by his loving family and in the care of Black River Memorial Hospice.

Ed was born July 26, 1934 in Elmhurst, Illinois to Edward William and Ellen Mary Schaper. He was raised in Lombard, Illinois and graduated from Glenbard High School in Glen Ellyn. He furthered his education and received his Illinois Realtors license. He attended the Deaconate program with the Joliet, IL Diocese and was ordained a Deacon in 1978. Ed married Rose Marie Tyminski on September 17, 1955 in Lombard. Ed sold real estate in the Glen Ellyn area for most of his working life. In 1992, Ed and Rose purchased Lost Falls Campground in rural Black River Falls. They moved to the Black River Falls area in 1996.

Ed will be remembered for his sense of humor and as a loving husband and father.

Ed is survived by his wife, Rose; two sons, Daniel (Kathleen) Schaper of Uniontown, Ohio, David (Katherine) Schaper of Chicago, Illinois; five daughters, Cynthia (Bernard) Brady of St. Paul, Minnesota, Lynn (Hector) Cornier of Arvada, Colorado, Karen (Robert) Gramzinski of Germantown, Maryland, Janet (Paul) Kieler of Denver, Colorado and Mary Jo (William) Sanborn of Leavenworth, Washington; 17 grandchildren and one great grandson.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ellen; and an infant daughter, Ann Louise.

A memorial mass will be 10:30 AM, Friday, August 1, 2014 at St. Petronille Catholic Church in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Burial will be in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday at Buswell Funeral Home, 106 S. 2nd Street, Black River Falls, 715-284-2231, followed by a prayer service at 8:00 p.m.
