I was so very sad to hear of the passing of Mr. Ludwig. I worked for him at Morton East. Both him and Alberta were the very best. I am still making the apple slices that he used to bring to work that Alberta made. That was more than 25 years ago! He introduced me to my husband John 27 years ago. I only wish that I would of known prior to the services. My prayers and thoughts go out to Marianne, Barbara and Mark. I did visit Mr. Ludwig over the summer and it was a fun reunion for us! May God bless him and his entire family.

Our sympathies to Edgar's family from his cousin John Ludwig, my father, and his 3 daughters-Joyce, Judy, and Jean. We all remember you fondly. My father knew Edgar his whole life, especially well during his U of I years, and they actually helped Edgar and Alberta move into their first suburban home. We remember you visiting our farm during the summers and those visits we made to your home "in the city". We all thought highly of Edgar and his accomplishments and I know he will be missed. Please email me as we would like to keep in touch with our cousins. With our love,Judy Ludwig Gorham, Galesburg, IL

It appears my name was left off of my message. I was the one who wrote about serving with Ed on the AMS board in the mid 1980's

Dear Ludwig Family:

We are very sad to hear about your Dad's passing. Your parents were truly one of the nicest couples at Plymouth Place to all of the employees. I will always remember them. May you find comfort during this difficult time.

Ed and I served together as Board Members of the Chicago Chapter of the Administrative Management Society in the mid 1980s. I remember Ed as a very caring, non-judgemental, and gentle individual. He worked very hard to keep our faltering association afloat. After the inevitable end of AMS, Ed worked with the organization's alumni to create a new group that could continue the professional education and networking that AMS provided. I was very fond of Ed. My condolences to his family and friends.
