Edgar W. (Doc) Fleming was called home on March 30, 2023.
Doc was born August 17, 1934, to Marie and Edgar Fleming of Wellsburg, W.V. and Elmhurst, IL. Doc is survived by his children Megan Frola (Dave) Ric Joyner (Mary) Elise Harrell, Jenny Fleming, Mary Elizabeth Deel, Sarah Jo Joyner, and Dominic Fleming (Alethea), 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Doc was a loving husband to Imogene Fleming who preceded him in death in Sparta, TN. (2001). Doc was also preceded in death by children Tim, Carey, Bob and Chris.
Doc had a career in truck driving and became a skilled and popular truck driving instructor prior to his retirement. Doc was very involved with his church and had a passion for helping others less fortunate. Doc visited hospice patients and prison inmates to comfort them during their time of need. Doc was a kind and funny man who loved to tell jokes and appreciated each day that he was "still upright and on the green side of the grass".
