Earl Clark Obituary

Earl Joseph "E.J." Clark III, 54, passed on August 21, 2012, in Orlando, FL, surrounded by his family. E.J. married his high school sweetheart, Doreen in 1981. He will forever be a hero and role model to their children, Earl Joseph IV (married to Amanda) and Nicholas Clark. He was born in LaGrange, IL, to his loving parents, Earl Joseph Jr. and Arlene Clark. A beloved brother, he is survived by his siblings, Nancy (Jesse) Fojo, Barbara (Leslie) Fiatte, Tom (Deb) Clark, and is now in heaven with his sister, Laurie (survived by Paul) Dusek. He loved Doreen's family, Jim and Audrey Soucek and their family, Linda (Ken) Lukes and Gail (Rick) Rodriguez. Everyone's favorite uncle, he had many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was very proud of his children's many accomplishments and his time playing/ coaching hockey. Number 12 EJ's scoring achievements still remain a Lyons Township Hockey Club record. E.J. worked for many years in the financial field. A celebration of E.J.'s life will be Tuesday, Aug. 28, at one of his favorite places, Seven Bridges Ice Rink, 6690 Route 53, Woodridge, IL, from 3 to 8 p.m., with a formal prayer service at 6 p.m. In honor of E.J., please wear your favorite sports team attire. In lieu of flowers, E.J. has requested donations be made to Colorectal Center at MD Anderson Hospital, 110 W. Underwood St., Orlando, FL 32806.

I played hockey at College of DuPage with EJ where he lead us to a National Championship in 1980. He was an outstanding leader and a team player.
I will always remember EJ as someone -who changed my life...G-D bless you EJ and you family.

I remember E.J.as an infant, because his sister, Laurie, was my first friend ever and her baby brother, E.J. was a part of that friendship. I, also, recall his friendly spirit as child and young man, when
we ran into each at Proschs' Pharmacy many, many years ago. I will long remember and love the Earl Clark Family as will all of my family. Prayers and Love to all of you. Kathy Hubbartt Stuker, Sugar Hill, Ga.

I would not be in the position I am today professionally if not for EJ's mentorship. I learned most of what I know from him. He was not only a great boss to work for he was truly a great friend and I will miss him dearly. Even though we were separated by miles after EJ and Doreen moved to FLA I always enjoyed catching up with him and keeping in contact. God bless you EJ, Doreen and family.

We first met EJ about 6 years ago at the County Trail Pub. It was always a pleasure walking in and seeing him as the bartender. He always had a joke or a friendly smile or a comment about those "darn Canadians". EJ always had something positive to say about something and he always played Fred's favorite song "What Do You Get When You Play a Country Song Backwards". Unfortunately we were not able to enjoy the last 3 years with him as we had to move to Canada but we did keep in touch by phone. EJ will be greatly missed by us and everyone else that he touched in life. Our deepest condolences to his family. His Canadian friends - Frank and Fred

What a huge loss for a wonderful family. I'm so very honored to have gotten to experience some "EJ" fun during his time on earth. I hope the Clark family knows what a powerful angel they now have looking down on them.

What a special person to so many people, so many lives touched, so many lives blessed. We were fortunate enough to get to know EJ thru Pat, Erin, Les and Barb, what a great guy. We will always remember him for his wonderful smile that would light up the room. God Bless EJ and his family and friends. EJ a new bright star in the sky watching down on those he loves.
