Dolores Dowling Obituary

Dolores Anna Dowling passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2012, when she left us on heavenly wings of angels to be in Heaven. She was born on July 15, 1930 to the late Emma and Sidney Simon and raised in Chicago, IL. While growing up she won medals in volleyball, softball and sledding, and then won a beauty contest at the age of 16. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert R. Dowling; loving mother of Robert R. (Karen) Dowling and Jo Ann (Andrew) Steinbach; cherished grandmother of five; dear great grandmother of eight; fond sister of Betty (the late William) Siambanes, and the late Robert (Angie) Simon and the late Lorraine (the late Robert) Lindwall. She worked for Creative Card until an illness took over. A funeral service was conducted at Gethsemane Lutheran Church on Thursday, August 30, 2012. Interment was at Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
