Chester Reardon Obituary

Mr. Chester Anthony Reardon, age 84, of Southern Pines, NC, died Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Kingswood Nursing Center in Aberdeen. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, November 5, 2010 at Brownson Memorial Presbyterian Church by Rev. Karen Allen. Mr. Reardon was a Navy veteran of WWII. He worked for 40 years with Illinois Gas Co. retiring as Human Resource Director. He was an elder at Brownson Memorial Presbyterian Church. He sang with the barbershop chorus and was an avid bowler and golfer. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Reardon, sons, Tom Reardon of Fairfax, VA, Chuck Reardon of Lisle, IL, David Reardon, of Kalamazoo, MI, a daughter, Barbara Wood of Downers Grove, IL, grandchildren, Laura Wood, Kaylee Wood, Joshua Reardon, Caleb Reardon, Austin Reardon, Michael Reardon, and one great grandchild. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3800 Shamrock Dr., Charlotte, NC 28215 or to Brownson Memorial Presbyterian Church Music Dept., 330 S. May St., Southern Pines, NC 28387.
