I saw the notice of Charley's passing in the latest University of Illinois Alumni Magazine. Charley and Marv Veltkamp interviewed me for a position in the Controller's Office at Keebler in 1963 where I worked for several years.

My deepest sympathy to his family. I remember him as a true gentleman and have fond memories of the time working with him.

Your warmth was present each time you and Bea met us for holiday dinners..you were always curious about what was happening in our lives. Your unique way of gathering facts as you curiously and methodically questioned each individual at the dinner table was always something to look forward to. Can't wait to see you in heaven Charlie...there I'll give you a quick rundown on things! Until then...you will be greatly missed my good man.
