Charles Greaves Obituary
Charles William Greaves, life-long resident of Elmhurst and avid sailor, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015, at the age of 79.
Charles faithfully served his country during the Korean Conflict attaining the rank of Major in the US Air Force and continued his service in the Air Force Reserves until his retirement.
Charles is survived by his wife, Judy; his sons, Charles R. "Chip" (Polly), Peter (De) and Jeffrey (Tracy). He is the proud grandfather of Lilly, Hayden and Parker; dear brother of Sarah Meisels, and Margaret (Doug) Adams and fond uncle of Alexandra and John Adams.
Visitation at the Pedersen Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York St., Elmhurst, on Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Lying in state Saturday, March 21, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service 2:00 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour, 116 E. Church St., Elmhurst. Interment Private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Church of Our Saviour or Kenyon College, Gambier, Ohio are appreciated.
