Smiles, I knew her as mom and Mrs. Maltese! From first grade to high school graduation and beyond I was a welcome fixture in the Maltese Residence, probably more than they wanted. I was loved as part of the family. Food abounded. And Reeses Pieces were always plentiful!!! Lean Cuisine was a diet staple. Many sleep overs ordering the best thin crust pizza west of the city and endless hours and hours of Vince and I shooting pool. Much love and fond memories! Our hearts are saddened. Sending love and sunshine from San Diego.

I still remember going in to Villa Nova and talking to Carole and Vince. They were the greatest host of the restaurant. I went with my parents and they loved the food and of course we all loved Carole and Vince too. I am very sorry for your loss and my prayers are with the family this day.
