Happy Birthday Bernadette. Thought of you all day yesterday.

I was with Sue Finn in San Francisco on Monday evening,, 2/23/09 and had not known that Bernadette Ann Regina Gorman was on another plane. Met her at Shelter all those years ago and shared a lot of sweet times. I'm still in silent shock since hearing the news but it's given me time to think about all of the bright light you showerd on the world, making it a much better place to be. I can see your warm smile and your big hair, and hear your laughter even now. Your presence is missed by one more. Much love and a peaceful journey...rick

Dear Bernadette was so much fun. I will always remember the times we had at Shelter records and the time you were in the racoon suit at the JJCale concert so many years ago. My sympathy to your family. You will be missed.

Peggy just sent me the link to this guest book yesterday. So warming to read the entries. My trips to New York will never be the same without meeting for drinks, or dinner or brunch or staying with you in Gramercy Park, Bernadette. We had some good times! I will miss that. And, ironically it was Denny's passing that got us back in touch. I know you're both up there together cooking something up!

Very dear Bernadette,
You will be sorely missed. So many memories flooded back all the way to when we met in Holland in 1975, when you worked for Shelter Records. Ever since we have been in contact and were able, through our work, to see eachother regularly whether in Los Angeles, Amsterdam, Paris, New York, Munich or London. The plans to meet up again this Fall, will not happen, but the memories will last. I will miss your bubbly nature, enthousiasm, sense of humour and the many laughs we shared. My thoughts are with your family.

Celebrating Bernadette's life and spirit with John, Peggy, Linda and her many friends at Dillon's in NYC Wednesday night was a joyful (yet tearful) time. Thank you Julie and Laura for bringing us together. I will miss my Fordham friend and the woman who gave me the nerve and the tickets (to U2) to ask my husband Fred on our first date! My love and prayers are with mom and pop Gorman. I'll always remember our celebration at O'Neals for Bernadette's Graduation from Fordham. She was my inspiration!

Sometimes we meet people who guide us through parts of our lives.

New York will never be the same with out visiting you. I am going to miss you but I am lucky to have such great memories of "Aunt B". Thank you for being a part of me and my families lives.

My most sincere condolences to Bernadette's family and her many friends. She was a very special person and I appreciate the times that I was fortunate enough to work with her as her representative at HFA. You will be missed.

I will always remember the good times we had together both personal and at work. The one thing in particular I will remember is going to baseball games with Bernadette. I was thinking how happy she must have been very happy to see the Cubbies in first place.

There was only one Bernadette. My family and I will never forget her annual Christmas tree decorating parties, her warm spirit, and her undying loyalty, friendship, and support. We were blessed to know her, and will always love her.

Bernadette was one of my true music industry mentors. The couple of years I worked with her at Arc Music were some of the most influential for me. We worked hard and laughed hard.

Bernadette was a good friend, feisty, passionate and loyal. I shall miss her and be forever grateful for knowing her.

Dear Bernadette: Thank you for the Days. Can you believe I was given that song to sing the night I heard you were gone? Did I ever tell you how much it meant to me that you believed in me so completely? Thank you for your love and friendship, for knowing and understanding me so well, for your generous heart, for your deep, rich soul. I wish you peace.

When I first heard "the rumor", I was hoping it was just that, a rumor. When Bernadette's passing was confirmed, my first remembrance of her was the first day we met. I had come to the office for an interview to be a "consultant" (don't you love that word as it is used in the music industry?). Buckley Hugo, who I knew from working at EMI, had set up the meeting and the three of us were just sitting around Bernadette's office, basically skimming over my experience in the business but really just talking and laughing. She decided then and there – after about half an hour – to hire me because, she said, "this office needs more laughter". Throughout everything, I always remembered that she wanted more laughter. I hope and pray she has found a place with “more laughter” and that she is happy and safe now.

Whenever someone mentioned Bernadette I would always smile. Her great humor and sparkling eyes were always something to look forward to when I would come to NYC and we would have our 'girls' lunches.

Bernadette came with Teresa to my home in Laguna Beach about 15 years ago. I remember her warm and engaging personality, and I think beautiful red hair. Oh how so young to pass on. My condolences to her family.

No words can adequately express the sorrow I feel at Berna's passing. She was my very best friend through high school and beyond. I have so many wonderful memories of our high school days. Even the time we got caught at Cermak Park after curfew and got grounded for a very long time brings a smile to my face. Berna was smart, witty and a loyal friend to the end. I feel very blessed to have had her for my best friend and will miss her dearly.

It's really hard to put your feeling in words a time like this, I've known the Gorman family for a long time, my heart goes out to each and every one of the family, Bernadette was a good friend, although through the last many years we have grown apart, she will always be in my heart

Dear Bernadette - It was always a joy to be in your presence whether it was an AIMP meeting, dinner, theatre or just a walk around the city. I will always remember your exuberance and intelligence. You are sorely missed and much loved.

Bernadette, dear friend, you will be missed - our annual visits since high school were something to anticipate. Through the crazy dreams of young girls to the mature confidants we became, it was always grand to share our kinship. You will forever remain in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks for being a cool NY aunt to my kids. I am sure you were welcomed to heaven by my dear Tony on his birthday, June 6.

I was fortunate enough to work with Bernadette at the Goodman Group and I remember she was always so friendly, and always with a smile. Several years later, when I ran into her at an AIMP meeting, she came over and gave me the biggest hug ever. She was a very special person and will be greatly missed.

I have loved her for almost my whole life. Bernadette, I will miss you for the rest.
