When I think of High School, I think of Mr. "J". He was a wonderful teacher who I also thought of as a friend. I will remember and miss him always. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.

I'm sorry for your loss. Mr. J was my teacher at Argo from 74 to 78. I loved his passion for music and teaching. He took a lot of wild, unfocused kids and turned them into musicians. He taught us a great work ethic with humor and kindness. He made an impact in our lives. I will miss him.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. J's passing. My condolences to his family-- he was such a great band teacher/director-- I looked forward to his class every day from 1973-'77. He knew how to make music fun, picked great music for us to play, directed with passion and really cared about all of us. He took the time to talk to us and joke with us and he trusted us when we were at an age where we needed adults to trust us. You will be so missed, Mr. J!

My condolences to Mr. J's family. My fondest memories of Argo High are from when I was in the Jazz Band he led, and what I learned from Mr. J during those years has made my life richer ever since. All thanks and praise, Mr. J.

Mrs. J & family,
So sorry to hear of Mr J's passing. He was a great band teacher and I wish I'd had a chance to tell him so. Some of my fondest memories at Argo were with him.
May God pour out His love and comfort on all of you during this time of loss. The selfless caring part of Mr J lives on in my life, and I will always remember his kindness.

When we think of you, Bar, we think of a wonderful neighbor, a goof ball, cocktails, major giggling, family and a man that frosts a mean cake. You will be greatly missed. Love.

Bar & Marce,
What a team you two make. Barry always willing to try a new adventure, and Marce willing to be with him to make sure it all worked out. We will miss his wonderful sense of humor, and that twinkle in his eye. Bar could fix anything if he ever had the time to get around to it (what ever happened to that old Porshe?). He could drive a truck, sell you insurance, or landscape your yard, but most of all he could make beautiful music, and he could make you smile. Love Pat & Helen
