Amelia Lyons Obituary

Mrs. Amelia L. "Millie" Lyons, age 79 of rural Redgranite, WI, formerly of Downers Grove, Illinois, died early Monday morning, July 27, 2009 at Preston Place C.B.R.F. in Redgranite. Millie was born May 14, 1930 in Chicago, the daughter of Raymond and Amelia Martin Morgan. She married William James Lyons September 24, 1949 in Downers Grove. She was a graduate of Downers Grove-North High School. Millie had been employed at the Sears Roebuck Catalog-Retail Store in Downers Grove as a bookkeeper for many years. Millie and her husband, Bill had lived in Downers Grove until moving to Redgranite, WI 7 years ago. Survivors include her husband, William J. Lyons; a son, William D. Lyons of Sarasota, FL, a daughter, Sandra L. (Wayne) Luecke of Surprise, AZ; 3 grandchildren, Christopher and Jennifer Luecke, and Sage Hannah Lyons; 2 sisters, Patricia Vasquez of California, and Carole Warnke of Colorado; other relatives, and friends. Memorial Services for Amelia "Millie" Lyons will be held Saturday, August 1st. at 1:00 P.M. at the Ruminski Funeral Home in Redgranite. The Rev. Dorothy Heckner Mendonca will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday prior to the Memorial Services at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions in Millie's name will be appreciated for the American Diabetes Association. Ruminski Funeral Home Highway 21, Redgranite, WI (920) 566-2313 Serving the Family.

I will truly miss my Aunt Millie. We all moved away from the old neighborhood and didin't see each other often enough. My sympathies to Uncle Bill, Sandy and Billy.
