To the Family of Mr. Mitchell, I learned a lot from him in English Class. I had him I think it was for a short time. I do remember talking to him. I´am from class of 1995. I send you my care thoughts to be with you all always and forever.

To the family of Richard Mitchell,
Mr. Mitchell was so special to our family. My father always called him "Mr. Mitchell", respectfully so, for the kindness he showed all of us, the Peoples Family.
I will never forget the friendly wave; he always gave me as he crossed Kensington Ave on his way home from teaching at Amherst High School. My brother was lucky enough to have a place in his classroom. Mr. Mitchell expected excellence from his students and my parents counted their blessings when my brother made the grade.
Thank you, for opening your home to our family, and for me personally, buying the endless number of holiday cards I sold for many years, so gracious.
I have so many wonderful memories of a kind man and his family.
My deepest condolences and prayers are with all of you at this time.
Vicki, there will always be that place in the stands, next to your mom at every home meet.
Sincerely,
Monica Peoples

Dear Liza and Family,
My sincere sympathy on the loss of our dear Richard, one of the key mentors and colleagues guiding my teaching pathl
I recall with joy the many visits I made to your home, always grounded in the straight common sense Dick applied to all subjects.
Most recently he invited me to have breakfast at the Pancake House, a really splendid reunion of us "old geezers"!
May you find solace in the family and friends that draw close at this time.
In loving memory,
Reed

Dick was a kind gentle soul and I feel blessed to have know him. We met through our shared passion for fly fishing and the outdoors. We need more people in the world like Dick, he will be missed.
