Roberta Ann (Wettengel) Miller, age 83, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2020, in Wheaton, Illinois.

Roberta is survived by her sons, Michael, Christopher, Sean, and Matthew; siblings Michael, William, David, Patricia, and Katherine; and 7 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Roger, her parents, James Robert Wettengel and Armella (Finken) Wettengel, her brother James, and sister Betty.

Roberta was born on June 7, 1937 in Harlan, Iowa. She graduated from Our Lady of Victory Academy in Waterloo, Iowa where she was a straight A student with perfect attendance K-12, and rang the bell each morning to start the day.

Roberta was a true homemaker, a great cook, and loved gardening, especially roses. She raised her family in Glen Ellyn, Illinois and Rochester Hills, Michigan, and spent her retirement with Roger in Montague, Michigan.

She was a loving wife, grandmother, and the best mom ever.

Saddened to hear about Roger and Roberta . Met them in 1979 and worked several years with Roger . He was a gentleman and a strong business leader who displayed excellent judgement . They will be missed .

I was truly shocked and saddened to hear of the deaths of Roger and Roberta. I have known them since the 70's through our working for Parker Chemical and Parker+Amchem in Michigan. Roger was a true gentleman in an industry where those individuals were hard to find. He could always be depended on to achieve his goals and motivate those who worked for him to succeed. Roberta was always gracious and friendly at Company functions and Holiday parties at my house. They were a fun couple to be around.
I shall miss them both

I am so saddened to read this. Roberta and Roger both came in to the Montague Post Office and were the kindest people. I became friends with Roberta and she was in my “Ted Hat” group years ago. I am so sorry I lost touch with them after I retired 4 years ago. They truly were special people and my heart breaks for their family. Praying for God to comfort them during this most difficult time. ❤

While I never met Mrs. Miller I was fortunate to have worked with Roger. An outstandingly thoughtful man with an infectious smile and sense of humor. His memory will always be respected by his coworkers and friends at Parker Chemical.
