Mary Alice Schneider
Mary Alice Schneider, nee Yackley, age 94, of LaGrange Park. Mary was born in Naperville to her late parents John Yackley and Augusta Yackely, nee Berger. On July 16, 1951, she married her now late husband Leonard W. Schneider and were married for almost 50 years till his passing on May 22, 2001; fond mother of James Schneider, Nancy (Michael) Walsh, Steven (Mary Ellen Stirn) Schneider and William (Jeri-Lynn Jurek) Schneider; dear grandmother of Lisa (Michael) Shenouda, Michael Walsh, Sarah Schneider, Robin Schneider, Cassidy Schneider and the late Christopher Schneider; great grandmother of Nicholas and Olivia Shenouda; sister of Virginia (the late James) O'Toole, the late Robert (the late Elizabeth) Yackley, Joanne Yackley, John Yackley, Frank (Sel) Yackley and Clara Yackley; aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Mary Alice had fond memories of her Naperville childhood spent at Centennial Beach, working at Prince Castle and time spend with "the gang." Mary Alice was a long time Parishioner of St. Barbara's, Brookfield. She maintained the membership at the American Nuclear Society for years. She enjoyed her involvement as a member of the Western Springs Senior Center and was an active Bridge player and avid reader.
Services are Private.
Interment private St. Alphonsus Cemetery, Lemont
