Joyce A. Foley nee Compton, beloved wife of the late Donald G. Foley. Loving mother of Gail Foley, Donna (Tom Lattanzio) Foley, Eileen (Douglas) Haskell, and the late Patrick D. (Dawn) Foley and the late David J. Foley. Dearest sister of James (Kay) Compton Sr. and Glenn (Nancy) Compton. Loving Sister-In-Law of Caroline (the late Robert) Foley. Cherished Grandmother of Sarah Foley, Emily (Travis Hetrick) Haskell, David P. Foley, and Step Grandmother of Krystal (Steven) Brand, Katelyn (David Nicholson) Haskell, and Hayden (Dailey) Vogely. Dearest Aunt of the late Alan Foley, Michael (Victoria), Jeffrey (Maggie), and Steven (Laurie Wallace) Foley, Karri (the late John) Spillane, Glenn (Mary Lou) Compton, Gerry (Greta) Compton, James Compton Jr, and Curtis Compton.

Joyce always wanted to be a nurse. She raised her five children while working part-time, then returned to school and received her nursing degree from College Of DuPage. She loved her work as a Registered Nurse at Hinsdale Hospital, where she worked in post-partum care and the newborn nursery.

The family will schedule a memorial service at a later date.

I remember Joyce from nursing school at COD. She was excited about starting a new career. At our graduation, it was funny to have Gail run up to say Hi! We had been friends in high school. Some 20 years later my daughter and Joyce's granddaughter were friends. Small world. Rest in peace.
