Joseph F. Pappalardo
Joseph F. Pappalardo, age 89; beloved husband of Joyce Ann Pappalardo, née Salaty; loving father of Francis J. (Cheryl) and Vincent J. (Lisa) Pappalardo; dear grandfather of Lauren A. Brown, Joseph D., Lindsey N., Christina A., Thomas V., and Julia N. Pappalardo; great-grandfather of Mila R. Brown.
Joseph was a registered architect in Illinois and a member of the American Institute of Architects; he was also a Principal of Loebl Schlossman and Hackl. He was Project Manager on an extensive list of major projects of varied scope and complexity. Joseph was very involved in his community and professional organizations. He was a member of the Architectural Commission of the Village of Downers Grove and a Life Member of Alpha Rho Chi. Joseph attended the University of Illinois, where he received a Bachelor of Architecture in 1958. He will be remembered for his successes in the development and construction of the new Prudential Tower in downtown Chicago, as well as various shopping centers, hospitals, conference centers, commercial and residential buildings, and institutions of education.
Joseph was past Commander of the Alexander Bradley Burns American Legion Post 80.
