John Manuel Pimenta

John Manuel Pimenta, beloved husband of Maria Lira (da Costa), passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 12th. He is survived by his four daughters, Lisa Patel, Giovanna Christian, Paula Meyers, and Jennifer Buechele, and eight grandchildren Kaitlin, Kelly, Michael, Samantha, Joshua, Zachary, Sara and Jack. John was born in Lucknow, India and became a US citizen in 1963. He was a lifelong reader and proud alumnus of the University of Notre Dame. His faith was a central part of his life and he was always passionate about helping others.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to Interfaith Food Pantry, Carol Stream, IL or Northern IL Food Bank, Geneva IL to assist those affected by Covid-19. A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date. An announcement with date and place will be announced when the shelter in place order has been lifted.
