Julia Pracht Obituary

Julia Ann Pracht

Julia Ann Pracht nee Brand, 93, of Elmhurst, passed on quietly in her sleep on the morning of August 2, 2018.

Beloved wife of the late Richard Lewis Pracht; loving mother of Martha (Baxter) Phillip and the late Douglas W. Pracht; devoted grandmother of Taylor (Meaghan) Phillip and Brent (Ali) Phillip; sister of Marilyn Brown and Linda (Jack) Borror.

Julia was a graduate of Ohio State University and an active volunteer throughout her life for a variety of local organizations, including Fullersburg Woods, Elmhurst's Lincoln School, Elmhurst Park District, and Laubach Literacy. She was a faithful servant of Christ, an active member of Yorkfield Presbyterian Church, and known and loved for the many notes of encouragement she wrote to family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and participating in Elderhostel programs with her husband Richard, with whom loved ones rejoice she is now reunited.
