Jean, nee Kaegebein, was born in 1937 in Des Plaines, IL and was a resident of La Grange, for over 57 years.

She is survived by daughters Michelle (Rich) Schlegel and Lisa (Paul) Rekstad.

She was blessed with seven grandchildren Nicole (Ben) Phongluangtham, Parker (Alesha) Courtley, Alex Courtley, Shaun Courtley, Kaylee Schlegel, Ryan Schlegel and Ellis Rekstad and one great-grandchild, Anna Phongluangtham.

She is also survived by her sister Joan (Ken) Woodward and Donald Kaegebein.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Parker Courtley and son Parker Jr.

After decades of working in various industries, Jean looked forward to retirement. She enjoyed hobbies of cooking, knitting, sewing, traveling, dining, shopping, gardening, watercolor painting, baking, cake decorating, thrifting, garage-sale hosting, furniture refinishing and reupholstering and watching the Chicago Blackhawks and Bears. She loved spending time with her grandchildren in Chicago, Northern California and Seattle.

She will be buried next to her husband at Clarendon Hills Cemetery in Darien, Illinois.
