Marilynn Joy Smith

Nee Weck

Marilynn Joy Smith (Nee Weck) age 74, lifelong resident of Lemont, was reunited with her beloved husband Thomas C. Smith Sr. on February 24, 2020.

Preceding her in death were her loving parents George and Josephine (Rieck) Weck, her dearest siblings George Weck Jr (Bernice), Laverne (late Rich) Picha, Blanche (late Norman) Leffler, Eleanor (Bob) McMillan, Donald (Mitzi) Weck, Charlene (Jack) Counter and Robert-Bob Weck. Also, her cherished nephews Matthew Weck, Jim Weck, dear Mother-in-law Marge Saucunas and step father-in-law Bruno Saucunas.

Marilynn is survived by her devoted children Tammy Lisk, Thomas (Darlene) Smith and Timothy Smith. Proud “Na Na�to her precious grandchildren Amanda (Cesar) Garcia, Noah Lisk, Tommy and Joey Smith, Step grandson Alex Reamer and Great step grandson Damien Reamer. Also, her dearest brother Norman (Martha) Weck.

Marilynn treasured her many students that she taught over the thirty-four years at happy hands Methodist preschool. She enjoyed teaching Bible stories for many years to the children of St.Matthew's Sunday School.

She spent many years as a Brownie and Girl Scout leader and was an active member of the Singer-Warner Mother's Club. Children played a very important part of her life.

Funeral Services were held Friday February 28, 2020 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church 305 Lemont St., Lemont.

Interment St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery.
