Joyce A. (Pelley) Wlodek, 81, of Slatington, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospice, in Bethlehem. She was the wife of Peter Wlodek to whom she was married 59 years. Born in Highland Park, NJ, July 19, 1944, Joyce was the daughter of the late Alexander and Bertha (Haszara) Pelley. A graduate of the former Ann May School of Nursing in Neptune, NJ, Joyce was devoted to the nursing profession as an RN for over 40 years, serving in various health care positions and lastly employed at LVHN. She was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, (Egypt) Whitehall.
Survivors: In addition to her husband, Peter; daughters, Catherine A. Wlodek of Northampton, Jennifer L. Evans (William) of Coplay; grandchildren, Catelynn Erickson, Sarah Evans, Michael Evans; predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Pelley.
Service: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2026, at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 4456 Main Street, Whitehall. The Rev. Msgr. Daniel J. Yenushosky will be the celebrant. Family and friends may pay their respects from 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville and 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. prior to the Mass in the church. Interment will follow the service at Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Cemetery, Northampton. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
