Joseph "Joe" Carter Obituary

Joseph "Joe" Lee Carter passed away on January 5, 2026, in Trinity, Texas. He was born on November 10, 1968, in Carrollton, Illinois, to Billie Eugene and Connie Lee (Bottom) Carter.


Joe was preceded in death by his beloved parents. He is survived by his brother, Scott Carter; his sister, Marsha Davis and her husband, Kevin; his nieces, Kaitlyn Tillison and Kelsey Carter; as well as seven great-nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends who will remember him fondly.


After graduating high school, Joe began his career as a pressman and later became an electrician by trade. Outside of work, he enjoyed cowboying and had a true passion for horses, cattle, and all kinds of livestock. He was rarely seen without his signature cowboy hat.


Joe will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. To honor his memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to your favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
