David Carlig Obituary

David A. Carlig, age 82, late of Palos Heights. Beloved husband for 58 years of Kathleen (née Hughes); devoted son of the late Clarence and Inez (née Tropino); loving brother of Philip Carlig; dear brother-in-law of James Hughes, Mary Eileen (David) Kane, and the late Patricia Hughes; loving uncle to Hughes family: Tom, Susan, Jack, Bob, Lisa, Peter, and Kane Family: Margaret, David, and Mary Beth; great-uncle, and great-great uncle to all of their children.


David was a retired educator from CPS with 30 years of dedicated service. He previously taught at Washburne Trade School, Thomas Kelly College Prep, Morgan Park High School, and Fenger Academy High school, from where he had graduated. 


Visitation Monday, from 9:00 AM until the time of Prayers at 10:45, from Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service) 14318 S. Lagrange Road (Northbound traffic U-turn permitted at 143rd St.) Orland Park, to St. Alexander Catholic Church Mass, 11:30 AM, 7025 W 126th St., Palos Heights. 


Interment Private. 


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Sertoma Star Services, 4343 W. 123rd St., Alsip IL, 60803.
