Daniel David Duplessis, 45, of Middletown, passed away after a long illness at Middlesex Hospital. He was born on October 17, 1980 in Middletown. He had a great childhood growing up at his “Nana and Poppy’s” house with his brother and cousins in Chester.
Daniel graduated in 1999 from Valley Regional High School in Deep River. He then went on to chase his passion for cooking at the Center for Culinary Arts in Cromwell and graduated in 2001. He was very proud of this.
Daniel loved cooking for loved ones, especially family. He worked in many restaurants, as well as the kitchens of York Hospital in Maine and University of New Hampshire. He loved cars, bicycles, animals and anything from the 1990’s. Daniel was an easily likable person and had many friends.
Daniel is survived by his fiancée, Lisa Sikorski of Middletown, mother, Mary Porter Duplessis of South Berwick, ME, brother, Clay Duplessis of Acton, ME, father, Clay Duplessis and his wife Barbara of Manchester, CT, grandmother, Kay Griffin and her husband Leon of FL, special “CT mom” Kelly Porter Southworth of Essex, as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Laurence Porter, and grandparents, Anne and Howard Duplessis.
There will be a celebration of life held at a later date. Donations in Daniel’s memory may be sent to Bikes for Kids, P.O. Box 94 Centerbrook, CT 06409. To share memories or express condolences online please visit www.biegafuneralhome.com.

My brother Xbar! I just heard about your passing. I will always cherish our memories during our rebellious, immature youth. We had many laughs. I remember you being such a kind, care free soul. It hurts knowing you left this mortal veil early. I will see you again someday. Safe travels brother xbar!!
