Betty D. Roseberry, age 87, a resident of Glen Ellyn for almost 60 years, passed away on June 8, 2014.
Beloved wife of the late Thomas; loving mother of Scott, David, Patrick and Beth (Bruce) Currie; dear grandmother of Joshua and Daniela Currie; daughter of the late Madeline Dooley.
Betty was a graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. In the clerical workforce in Oak Ridge, Tennessee at the end of WWII, she was one of the many "girls of Atomic City." She was the past president of Glen Ellyn's Lilac Garden Club. Her love of Glen Ellyn filtered through to her children who still live in the area.
Visitation Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., followed by a life remembrance ceremony for close friends and family at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane Street, Glen Ellyn. On Friday, June 13th, the funeral procession will gather at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home and will proceed to the Forest Hill Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. interment.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry, 493 Forest Ave. Glen Ellyn would be appreciated.
