Vincent Martin Boone, 80, of Lombard, IL passed away on December 31st, 2016 in Lee County, FL.
He was born in Westminster, MD, on April 30th, 1936, son of the late Ruth Martin and Ernest Boone and stepmother, Virginia Chance.
He is survived by his wife, Constance; four daughters, Diana Butts (Larry), Robin Heng(Stephen), Gail Ratcliffe, Jennifer Weil(Douglas); and a son, Jeffrey Boone (Kerri). He is also survived by two siblings, Sharon Retallack and Eric Boone; as well as ten grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Vincent was a Navy Veteran, serving for six years. In addition to being an award-winning car and truck salesman for much of his adult life, Vince was also an entrepreneur who owned an office furniture store, stump removal business, and became a beloved fixture at Parke County's Covered Bridge Festival. Vincent "Daniel", or "Boone" as he was often called, was an avid outdoor sportsman. He enjoyed camping and traveling. Just this past summer, he made a road trip to relive childhood memories by visiting relatives and friends out east. This past April, Vince was surrounded by friends and family at an 80th birthday celebration thrown in his honor.
A wake will be held on January 12th between the hours of 3:00 to 8:00 PM with Military Honors at 5:00 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street, Lombard.
