Phyllis M. Diomede aka Minnie, age 90, died peacefully in her sleep at Birchwood Plaza Nursing Home in Chicago, IL, on Saturday, January 30, 2016.
Born October 4, 1925, in Chicago, IL, she lived most of her life in Berwyn, IL and participated in volunteer activities at Loyola Hospital. She also enjoyed being a member of a weaving group in Oak Park, IL.
Survivors include her 3 children, Patrick Diomede (Sandy) Glendale, Arizona; Diane Diomede, Aurora, IL; Laura Allen, Chicago, IL; 5 beloved grandchildren, Daniel (Kathy) Diomede, Mark (Liz) Diomede, Benjamin (Gigi) Allen, Timothy (Mardee) Allen, and Isaac Allen; 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation Thursday, February 4, 2016, from 2:00 to 8:00pm at Mount Auburn Funeral Home 4101 S. Oak Park Avenue, Stickney, IL 60402 (708)749-2033 www.mountauburnfuneralhome.com. To Laura, Benjamin, Timothy, Isaac and family, I am very sorry to hear of your mother and grandmother's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting her several times, and the last time was at the wedding of Timothy and Mardee. I know she was a fabulous lady and she must have been a great Mom because her son is a terrific person.
