Nancy Hudson Campbell died on December 17, 2017 in Fort Collins, CO after a long illness. She was 88.
Nancy was born on April 29, 1929 in Keokuk, IA to Mark and Fern Hudson. In 1951, she graduated from University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana with Bachelor of Arts. She married Richard L. Campbell in 1952. Nancy taught special education, English and journalism in Illinois public schools and, always eager to learn, earned a master's degree in her field. Soon after her 1995 retirement from York Community High School in Elmhurst, the Campbells moved to Fort Collins, CO.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 65 years; her daughters, Kristin Hennig (Chanhassen, MN) and Elizabeth Campbell (Lakewood, CO); her son, Peter Campbell (Shorewood, IL); her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Kathleen Campbell (Altadena, CA); ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Gene Hennig; and her sisters, Patricia Stephens, Elizabeth Bell and Gloria Riedy.
Nancy was remembered at a private service on January 6, 2018 in Fort Collins.

My sympathies to Nancy's family and friends. My memories of Nancy are such happy ones. We went all the way through grade and high school in Nauvoo together. She was a gracious, lovely person.
